Ashley and Mark of Calgary area Serenity Acres Tiny Homes are rumored to have a few builds under their belts, including a truly over-the-top THOW with a hot tub incorporated into a wrap-around deck. (Well, who wouldn’t want one of those? You can find a couple of pictures on their Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/Serenity-Acres-Tiny-Homes-1635455193373647/). This one’s a more compact and utilitarian model with a shed roof and an array of clerestory windows on the high side. Given the smaller dimensions there’s not room for anything very elaborate inside – just a small kitchenette with an induction cooktop, sink and mini-fridge; a rough wood water closet with a sliding door; a dining/sitting area with built in bench and table; and a small sleeping loft (which appears to have adequate headroom thanks to the sloped roof). This may be about as basic as it gets for Serenity Acres; hot tubs aside, they build THOWs up to 40 feet, timber framed or structural insulated panel (SIP) construction, and will also do shipping container homes and foundation-based cabins and cottages.
